Reverend Barry & The Funk are an 8-pc funk band featuring a 3-pc horn section, and one of the fastest-rising “buzzworthy” acts in the state Florida. Fueled by their recent #1 Global Position on Reverbnation’s Funk Charts after the release of their debut album “SxyGdLuv”, and the success of their recent breakout single “LoveShine”, this 8-pc band is now headlining festivals and larger venues around the state.

This talented band features:

  • Grammy-nominated drummer Ray C. Williams (Erykah Badu, Stevie Wonder)
  • Grammy-Nominated vocalist Yaya Diamond (for her work with Walter “Clyde” Orange of The Commodores)
  • Grammy-Nominated guitarist Mark Vincent (Melissa Etheridge, Stanley Clarke, The 5th Dimension, Dionne Warwick, Michael Sembello)
  • Bassist, Lead Vocalist & Bandleader “Reverend” Barry Nicholson has performed and recorded with several top acts in Los Angeles, Dallas, TX and more.
  • The super-tight horn section – comprised of Chris Chiodo (trumpet), Bob Miner (sax) and Donald Parker – have decades of performing credits in every imaginable musical style and configuration, from traveling circuses to big band jazz.

This band’s live performance is a MUST-SEE! Their high-energy performance features not only originals, but also true-to-the-original cover versions of funk & soul classics from Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower of Power, Commodores, Kool & the Gang, Prince, James Brown, Jackson 5, Rick James, Aretha Franklin and much more.

This show will be presented in a limited-capacity cabaret setting to promote proper social distancing. Tables of four will be available for purchase as a package for $80. To avoid close contact with others outside each group, seats will not be sold individually.

About the Parkview Terrace Summer Concert Series

The Central Park Performing Arts Center is excited to safely welcome back customers with an outdoor Summer Concert Series presented on the newly-built Parkview Terrace. Come experience live entertainment again as we social distance with friends and family! 
 
The three-show Parkview Terrace Summer Concert Series will showcase the Central Park Performing Arts Center's newest venue, the Parkview Terrace. Underneath a beautiful oak tree canopy and overlooking Largo Central Park, the new venue will have gated entry and extend across the Portico. Fencing will be installed around the venue for the duration of the Summer Concert Series, and tickets will be required for entry.  Table bar service offered.  Restrooms will be available indoors.  ATM onsite. 


To preserve the health and safety of our guests and staff, four-top tables will be arranged six feet apart and sold only as a package to promote proper social distancing. Following the guidelines in Pinellas County's ordinance, guests and staff are required to wear face coverings at all times, unless seated and consuming food or beverage, inside the Central Park Performing Arts Center or outdoors on the Parkview Terrace.    All safety precautions are subject to change with updates to federal, state, or local guidance.
